A career as a Clinical Trial Manager is very lucrative and exciting. Also known as Clinical Study Manager this function plays a crucial role in the success of a clinical trial. He/she provides leadership in managing all tasks related to the trial and makes sure that studies are successfully completed within budgets and as per the planned timelines. The CTM is accountable for patient recruitment rates, rate of data collection, training of site staff, reviewing visit reports submitted by CRAs, tracking study supplies, ensuring adverse event reporting timelines are met etc. A CTM often mentors Clinical Research Associates (CRAs) and Clinical Trial Assistants (CTAs) as they report to the CTM.
